Chapte1: A New Appointment Peter Holmes is a Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Australian Navy. He and his wife married before the nuclear war and they had a daughter named Jennifer. He had not had work for since time. In one day he went to Melbourne to meet with Admiral. He thought that they had a job for him. Some time later he arrived to the Admiral’s office. After a nice conversation, the Admiral said that he had got on appointment at sea for him. But he couldn’t put Peter to an Australian ship -USS Scorpion-. There was a nuclear war in northern countries and it was traveling south to Australia/Melbourne. But whole cities in northern Australia were now dead. And someone had to stop this radiation’s progress. Mr. Holmes had met with Commander Towers in his new job. Towers were a successful and hardworking soldier. Mr. Holmes will have started his new job in 2 or 3 days. In these 3 days Mr. Holmes invited his coulegue to his home to meet with his wife and daughter. In addition to his Mr. Homes wanted to his wife’s friend Moria to show interest Mr. Towers. When Commander Towers came there Mr. Holmes heard that Commander loved fishing so they went to fishing. They had fun there. After that Mr. Towers and Moria had done a strange conversation. Moria thought that the radiation’s progress couldn’t come to Melbourne and she wasn’t interested in this situation because it was not their war, where as it could destroy there city even the world. After this conversation Moria had cried in helplessness and swallowed her drink, Janeiro to the north Atlantic. They heard that things were getting dangerous in Rio.
